HOW TO: CHOCOLATE MUFFINS


How to Make 6 Chocolate Muffins:

Ingredients:
125g Plain Flour
25g Coco Powder
1tsp Baking Powder
1 Egg
60g Sugar
2tbsp Oil
100ml Milk


Method:
ONE
Line a baking tray with cake cases and preheat the oven to 160C.

TWO
Seive the flour, coco powder and baking powder into a bowl.

THREE
Mix the egg, milk, oil and sugar together in a jug.

FOUR
Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl and mix all the ingredients together. The end result should be runny but still lumpy.

FIVE
Spoon the mixture into the cake cases and bake for 20 minutes until the cakes are set and cracked on top. If they're not quite set after 20 minutes put them back in for another 10 minutes.


How to Make Chocolate Buttercream Icing:
(for 6 muffins)

Ingredients:
27.5g Butter
56g Icing Sugar
14g coco powder
0.5tbsp Milk

Method:

ONE
Beat the butter in a large bowl until soft.

TWO

Add half of the icing sugar and beat until smooth.

THREE

Add the remaining icing sugar, coco powder and milk and beat until creamy. Add a little more milk if necessary.

FOUR

Wait until the cakes are cool before applying the butter cream and be sure the cover the cakes up if you're leaving them out on the side.
