EBAY CREME CONTOUR PALETTE REVIEW

I'm sure many of us beauty junkies have seen, or at least heard about, the numerous makeup palettes available on eBay. Of course, the real reason they're quite popular within the beauty community is down to their price; they're dirty cheap. Which, in my opinion is just as well, they're no even worth the £3 you'd pay for them. At least I know the creme contour palette isn't.

So if you couldn't already tell I am not impressed with this palette in the slightest. At first glance the concealers them self remind me of the lip-gloss you'd get in palettes of four as a Christmas gift when you were little. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you should. The packaging doesn't help them to be anymore appealing either - black, flimsy plastic.

Despite there being an impressive 15 colours in the palette, the colour range is not so impressive, especially when you consider the fact it's a CONTOUR palette. How am I supposed to define my cheek bones with a colour just about one shade darker than my actual skin tone? Ignoring the poor colour selection the concealers are greasy, extremely light coverage, not build-able and extremely difficult to blend - especially the 'darker' colours in the palette.

In the above photos I swatched the darkest and lightest colours in the palette before attempting to blend them in with a damp beauty blender. Before even blending the colours I had difficulty swatching enough product for it to actually be seen on my skin; they're so unpigmented. After blending the product into my arm there are still very harsh lines where the darker colour hasn't blended at all and I'm sure you can agree with me when I say that nobody will ever look good with un-blended contour lines on their face.

I hope this blog post has helped you in some way: if you were thinking of buying this palette, don't! However, I do have one question for you... I've also seen the powder contour palettes on eBay, which are actually a little more expensive than this one and also look more luxurious. I've watched videos and read blog posts where people often compare them to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Kit, however are they really similar and is the eBay 'dupe' worth buying?
